Boar meat even for allergy sufferers
For years, experts have stressed that wild game is the healthiest type of meat. Its indisputable advantage is the absence of antibiotics and hormones, which are sometimes administered to animals raised conventionally (outside the control of quality systems), penetrating into their every cell. Wild boar is one of the cleanest products on the meat market. That's why its consumption is recommended for those with the most sensitive digestive systems, i.e. allergic people. Another group that should include it in their diet are those burdened with diseases such as hypertension and atherosclerosis. Boar meat not only reduces the risk of certain diseases such as strokes, but also helps keep the body healthy. All thanks to the content of: B vitamins, phosphorus and magnesium. It is also rich in easily digestible iron.
Boar or hog
Visually, wild boars and pigs are similar. But they definitely share more than they have in common. In addition to the diet and lifestyle of individuals of each species, it is important for consumers to know the caloric content of each meat. A 100-g piece weighing 100 g coming from the same carcass parts can contain 3 times as many calories for pork.
Venison is generally much leaner and does not raise cholesterol levels. Another consideration is taste and color. Meat from wild boar has a very distinct forest aroma and a darker, bloodier color. Less fat makes each portion "more compact" - firmer.
Which piece to choose
The decision to buy this piece and not another should depend on its culinary purpose. The following products are available in our store: pork loin, stew, ham and tenderloin. No matter in what form you serve the meat, you can be sure that the served dish will be delicious. However, remember to marinate it beforehand to speed up the processing and emphasize all the flavors. You can find recipes on our blog.
