We love pork and that is a fact. But the truth is that despite this love, we must remember that it is a product rich in all kinds of fats. Therefore, we should pay attention to the frequency with which we consume it. However, there is nothing terrible about it. All we need to do is focus on quality rather than quantity. Nutritional values facts and myths

When deciding what to cook for dinner, we often reach for this type of meat. It is tasty and we can prepare many dishes with it. However, as we mentioned earlier, pork is characterized by a considerable fat content. For many, this may be a rationale for considering it unhealthy. Is it in fact so?

It all depends on the quality. Premium meat is high in monounsaturated and polyunsaturated fatty acids, which are considered the healthiest. It also contains omega-9 acids, the same acids that are present in olive oil or fatty fish. Healthy fats are essential in a well-balanced diet.

An essential element that plays a key role in the development, and proper functioning of the body, is also protein. We must remember that pork, compared to beef or poultry, cannot compare, in this category. However, it contains a sufficient amount of valuable protein, and essential amino acids that the human body cannot produce on its own.

It is also a source of vitamins B1, B12, A, D, E and K. Pork is the truest treasure trove of iron. The human body absorbs iron from animal tissues far better than that from vegetables or fruits.

Pork is therefore healthy, although, like all red meat, it is recommended to eat it once a week. By choosing the highest quality products, we can be sure that we are thus providing ourselves not only with the necessary nutrients, but also with maximum flavor.

How many calories does pork have?

Due to its high fat content, pork is not a diet meat. A portion of 100 grams, is about 242 calories. The amount of 242 calories can be compared to 2 slices of yellow cheese, 12 teaspoons of sugar, or 5 apples. Is this a lot? Pork ranks about in the middle of the list of meats, in terms of calories. It is by no means the most fattening of all meats. It is beaten in the ranking by, for example, mutton or goose, which is more than 300 calories in 100 grams.

Which item to choose?

In our offer you will find, among other things, delicious pork ribs. This is a meat that can be prepared in many different ways. Ribs will work perfectly on the grill. Baked on the grill, they will be juicy on one side and crispy on the other. It is worth complementing them with additions in the form of fresh vegetables. Another way to prepare ribs is to braise them (we can fry them beforehand), along with vegetables. They will then become soft and tender.

This makes the meat tender and flavorful after heat treatment. There is no need to marinate them, and they will be very tender when grilled.
