    Japanese Wagyu Grade A5 BMS 8 ribeye is one of the crown jewels of our range.

    Wagyu is primarily produced from Japanese black cow (Kuroge) in Japan. Each piece of meat must be graded by the Japanese Meat Grading Association. It assigns the appropriate meat quality grade by taking into account several parameters that constitute meat quality. A5 is the highest grade awarded by the very strict standards of this system. To earn the prestigious A5 rating, beef must achieve a high Beef Marbling Score (BMS) - that characteristic marbling, Beef Color Standard (BCS) and Beef Fat Standard (BFS). It must also exhibit exceptional firmness and texture. All of these characteristics determine the final quality rating of a piece and ultimately its price. Japan's A5 Wagyu ribeye steaks are some of the best you'll find anywhere and are the perfect way to enjoy this beef at its finest. Wagyu breeders in Japan achieve this exceptionally tender, wonderfully marbled beef through traditional breeding and the unique genetics of purebred Wagyu cattle.
